Great products don’t start with features. 👉 They start with understanding. Every design choice, every line of code, every interaction is stronger when it’s grounded in how people actually think, feel, and act. Skip that, and you’re building on assumptions, the quickest path to costly mistakes. Over the years, we’ve learned that the most effective way to design products people truly love is to listen and observe before we build. These are the five research methods we use to make better product decisions, faster: • Usability Testing • User Interviews • A/B Testing • Surveys • Field Studies Each method brings a different lens. Together, they reveal the clearest picture of user behavior, and the confidence to move forward without guesswork. Because in the end, research isn’t a step in the process. 👉 It is the process. Design systems aren’t just about consistency anymore. 👉 They’re about adaptability. Intelligence. Speed. Today’s best systems don’t just follow guidelines, they evolve with your product. 👉 They think. Here’s what’s shaping that evolution: • AI that flags accessibility issues before users ever see them • Design tokens syncing your brand across web, mobile, and even VR • Sustainable choices like dark mode and lightweight assets baked in by default • Systems that balance precision and creativity We put together a deep dive on how design systems are transforming in 2025, and how teams can build smarter, not just prettier. 📹 Bonus: There’s a short Figma tutorial in there if you want something more hands-on. 👇 Read the post below https://lnkd.in/dBrZQYYn

"𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀". That was the first thing they told me. Not even a hello. Just that. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘰. 𝘐𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮... 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦.” Can't lie. It stung a bit. But they gave us a chance. They liked that I had experience working on frontend and UX products that have transformed the industry, like Material Design at Google. But trust isn't built on resumes. So we listened. We adapted to their way of working. We dug deep into their frontend code, into their design, into their frustrations. The UX was inconsistent. The codebase was fragile. The team had no real foundation to build on or how to collaborate efficiently. So we got to work. We didn't just ship features: We built a system. A solid frontend architecture. Design and development guidelines the whole team could follow. We even created internal tools to make everything easier. Tools that would later become part of their core workflow. And over the next 2 years, something beautiful happened. They stopped needing us. Not because we weren't adding value. But because they were finally standing on their own two feet. The way it should be. Now they're scaling. Got their next round of funding. Moving faster than ever. And every time I think about that first sentence, I smile a little. Because we didn't prove them wrong. We just did things differently. 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿?

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵. 🎮 For most people, just another day. For Nintendo fans? 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝟭𝟬 𝗗𝗮𝘆. And for me? A reminder of where it all started. A simple, magical Christmas morning. A SNES. Mario on the screen. The perfect user experience. From SNES to N64, I still remember the smell of the Ocarina of Time instruction manual—like opening a portal to another dimension. The way Nintendo made you feel something stuck with me my entire life. So I studied Computer Science. And, well… it wasn’t as fun as I thought. 😅 I became a Software Engineer anyway and landed my first full-time job at Oracle. Backend work, migrating old systems. Not exactly a dream job, but I was learning. Then something clicked. Oracle would sell these migrations as "modern" and "cutting-edge", but the UI? Terrible. You could see it in the clients’ faces—another version, another headache. Zero excitement. At the same time, I was doing a Master's in Web Engineering. Learning JavaScript. Picking up cool UI tricks. One day, I decided to experiment. I built custom onboarding interfaces for our migrations with some cool interactions and animations—not corporate, probably breaking few rules... But suddenly, something changed. Clients were talking about them. Laughing during breaks. Not out of sarcasm, but joy. That reminded me of Nintendo. The magic of opening a new game. The small details that make people smile. And I realized: 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼. I didn't want to just write code. I wanted to create experiences. So I worked. I applied. Went through the longest selection process ever. And finally, I landed my first real 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 / 𝗨𝗫 role in Silicon Valley—at Hattery Labs, an innovation lab for startups. That was over a decade ago. And to this day, I'm still chasing that same feeling I had playing Mario for the first time. Because great design isn’t just about pixels or functionality. It’s about 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.
