We were honored to accept ICA Cristo Rey Academy's Founding Corporate Partner award at ICA's Business Lunch last month! This annual celebration honors the academy's remarkable students while raising crucial funds to help offset tuition fees. ICA Cristo Rey Academy empowers girls from underserved communities to become confident leaders through a rigorous college preparatory education integrated with four years of professional work experience through their Corporate Work Study program. This year, we've hired 13 Cristo Rey Network students in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and Los Angeles as work-study interns, significantly expanding our reach since our partnership launched in 2016. We're excited to continue supporting Cristo Rey's vital mission and empowering our communities' future leaders! #WhyWebcor

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) Behavioral Health Services Center (BHSC) is nearing the home stretch! Site work and landscaping are in full swing, interior finishes are being installed, and the final punch list is being prepared. Once complete, SCVMC BHSC will comprise a 66-bed acute psychiatric hospital for children, adolescents, and adults; a 50-bed emergency psychiatric facility; a mental health urgent care facility; and associated support areas. We're incredibly proud to be delivering this vital project for Santa Clara County residents in need of local, comprehensive behavioral health services. #BuildWithWebcor

Hello, spring! Webcor APAC (our Asian-American/Pacific Islander ERG, open to all Webcorians) hosted a festive Holi celebration in San Francisco to usher in spring and share the joy of the holiday with one another. Known as the Festival of Colors, Holi celebrates the beginning of spring after a long winter, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. APAC members shared their personal connections to Holi, enjoyed classic Indian dishes, and watched a Bollywood/bhangra dance performance by Webcor Project Manager Ruhi Thakur and Project Engineer Riya Joy before wrapping up the evening with traditional color-throwing! #WhyWebcor 📷 : Webcor Marketing Specialist Brandon Blum

There's nothing like community in action! Last month, Webcorians in San Francisco (Webcor Carpentry) and Los Angeles (LA office) used their annual volunteer hours to support their local food banks. Webcor Carpentry packaged nearly 15,000 pounds of food at SF-Marin Food Bank, enough to feed about 3,000 food bank visitors. The food bags included essentials such as lemons, oranges, rice, protein shakes, frozen pork, potatoes, and onions for the thousands of San Francisco families and individuals battling food insecurity. LA Webcorians packaged nearly 1,100 food boxes at Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, a vital resource for LA families and individuals—including our unhoused neighbors—in need of extra support to make ends meet. Many thanks to our amazing Carpentry team and LA Webcorians for continuing to exemplify our Community core value! #WhyWebcor

United Airlines' Terminal 3 Enabling Project has officially achieved temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO)! The T3 Enabling Project provides on-site offices for United employees while San Francisco International Airport's (SFO) Terminal 3 West is renovated, ensuring the smooth continuity of United's critical operations and SFO's capital projects schedule. This TCO marks a major milestone for Webcor's tenant improvement (TI) team, who successfully delivered the project while navigating the unique challenges of airside work and a rapidly evolving design. Congratulations to all involved, including our fantastic design partner Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM)! #BuildWithWebcor 📷: Webcor Marketing Specialist Brandon Blum

The first renovated restroom of Oakland International Airport's (OAK) Terminal Restroom Renovation Program is OPEN! The renovation is an exciting first for not just OAK, but for Webcor, marking our first completed project at Oakland International. These modernized restrooms feature spacious ADA-compliant stalls with shelves for personal items, stall doors with integrated LED-light occupancy indicators so travelers can quickly spot available stalls, and upgraded lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures and sound-absorbing materials that minimize noise and enhance passenger comfort. Thank you to HNTB, Cupertino Electric, Inc., N.V. Heathorn, and many more for your partnership in delivering this important project for the millions of visitors OAK serves each year! #BuildWithWebcor 📷 : Kevin Meynell

That's a wrap on Women in Construction Week (WiC Week)! Huge thanks to Women of Webcor and BuildHERs for organizing a fantastic week of events in San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles to honor the incredible women in our industry. Webcorians celebrated with WiC Week luncheons and happy hours and gained valuable insights from a panel discussion with Tradeswomen Inc. at the Biosolids Digester Facilities Project and an in-depth interview with former Los Angeles World Airports CEO/KDG Construction founder Lydia Kennard at LAX (an event organized by Women Building Airports). Several Webcorians also visited California State Polytechnic University-Pomona to share resume writing and interview tips/strategies with the university's Women in Science & Engineering (WiSE) program, a gratifying opportunity to continue championing the next generation of women in architecture/engineering/construction (AEC)! #WhyWebcor

Thank you to The Collective, our Black Employee Resource Group (ERG), for organizing a fantastic volunteer event at the District 10 Community Market to wrap up Black History Month! The Collective, which is open to all Webcorians, is committed to building internal community and supporting our neighbors in need through local volunteerism. Operated by Bayview-Hunters Point Multipurpose Senior Services, the District 10 Community Market offers eligible District 10 residents a wide selection of free, healthy groceries. District 10 comprises several San Francisco neighborhoods classified by the US Dept. of Agriculture as food deserts—areas lacking reliable access to a grocery store or food resource. Thank you to everyone who joined The Collective in supporting this vital community resource! #WhyWebcor 📷 : Webcor Marketing Specialist Brandon Blum
