Regenerating Muscle From Within™

Our mission is to improve the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other devastating muscle diseases by restoring the body’s ability to regenerate muscle.

Restoring Muscle Regeneration
If muscle regenerates,
why not in Duchenne?

At Satellos, we discovered dystrophin not only protects muscle fibers from damage, but also plays a key role in regeneration by guiding muscle stem cells through a process called asymmetric division, where one cell becomes a progenitor to repair tissue and the other remains a stem cell. In Duchenne muscular dystrophy, the lack of dystrophin disrupts this process, leading to insufficient muscle repair and ongoing degeneration. Satellos aims to restore this regenerative function to improve outcomes for people living with degenerative muscle diseases.

About Us
Our Approach
Satellos is working to restore muscle regeneration in Duchenne with a pill.

We’re developing a small molecule therapy to restore the missing signal that guides muscle stem cells to repair damage in Duchenne. This signal is disrupted by the absence of dystrophin, but our approach targets AAK1, a protein that can reactivate the body’s natural repair process.

Our Approach
Our Science
Our work is rooted
in muscle biology.

By studying the signals that guide regeneration, we aim to uncover new therapeutic targets and support repair in degenerative muscle diseases.
