    • I regret supporting your product because I recently learned that there are competitors already offering the functionality from your product. It means I could’ve purchased the product and receive it immediately instead of having to wait until November.

Thank you for sharing your concern—we completely understand why discovering other products can feel that way, and we appreciate your honesty.
We want to assure you that the Voyager 205 is much more than just its core specs. It’s the result of over 10 years of TESSAN’s dedicated experience in the travel adapter field and is built directly from years of real-world user feedback.
Beyond the power output, we’ve engineered it with a unique, multi-layer safety system for complete peace of mind. This goes far beyond the basics, with active protections against Over-Temperature, Short-Circuits, Over-Current, and Over-Voltage, all housed within a durable Flame-Retardant Polycarbonate casing. After all, no one wants their expensive devices damaged by a power surge, and they certainly don’t want their travel adapter to become a fire hazard.
The Voyager 205 isn’t just an adapter; it’s a travel companion engineered for absolute electrical safety. This commitment to robust protection is why it takes more time to perfect.
As a thank you for your early belief in us, you’ve also secured it at an exclusive early-bird price that won’t be available once it hits retail. We’re confident you’ll feel the difference when you have it in your hands.

    • How is this different from the momax.net 205W 7-Port Dual AC Travel Adapter which already exists and has the exact same specs, looks like a copycat version. I doubt this company makes anything, just rebrands other products.

Thanks for your question. While other products may now exist with similar specs, we can state with confidence that TESSAN was the originator of the 205W travel adapter concept.
We lead the way in developing this specific power configuration. Furthermore, the Voyager 205 features our own completely independent industrial design, including our unique “Walking on the Earth” finish. We pride ourselves on being innovators, not imitators.

What you’re basically saying is that there’s no difference between your product and the other one currently already available besides the external finish.

          • ➦Edward Kiledjian

Of course there is no difference. We all need to know that it is always one tech company “Semiconductor specialist” design the product and then commercial companies like Tessan and Momax and others will build it and sell it.

the concept and ships inside is 99% the same, however, there is small differences BUT important like:
            1. Quality of production and testing against functionality, heat, etc. (MOMAX is NOT a good company for that) and i don’t know about Tessan personally because this is my first time with Tessam :)
            2. there will be small addon features like quality of plastic and package and heat consideration and and
            3. minor tech things that I dont believe both momax and Tessan can/want to handle BUT you ill find it in Anker and Ugreen – for example: Can twom UCb-C connect to the same Power Bank OR Apple Laptop ? – I can tell you this is a serious issue in MOMAX 170W product and i’m expecting MOMAX 207W will have the same limitation because this is a rear case and they dont care about it

            Regards,

Hi can you post it using photo guide on the ports like this product that’s very similar to yours on Kickstarter? So much easier for people to just take a screenshot and refer back to. Just search for – Powerab: 140W 5th Gen GaN

    • Hello Team Tessan. I would like to enquire whether the Voyager 205 would accept Type D and Type M power/electrical plugs (For example travel irons, hair-dryers, and the likes) ?

Hi there, the Voyager 205 does not directly support Type D or Type M plugs. This was a conscious design choice to keep the adapter as compact and lightweight as possible for global travel. Since the limited regions that use those plugs (like India and South Africa) also widely support the Type C plug, our adapter ensures you’re still covered there.

Regarding your question about devices like travel irons or hair dryers—this is a very important point! Please be aware that the Voyager 205 is a plug adapter, not a voltage converter. If you plan to use such high-power appliances, you must ensure they are dual-voltage or rated to work at 220V. Using a 110V-only appliance would blow the voyager 205’s fuse.
        Hope this detailed explanation helps!

    • i also backed this and and i wish the usb c ports can be at the top rather than at the bottom. reason being at most hotels after plugging in the charger ( as it is quite elongated) there is not much space left at the bottom and if u plug in a charging cable more often than not it would not fit especially those bedside wall outlets

That is an incredibly thoughtful and well-reasoned suggestion, thank you so much for sharing it! You’ve highlighted a very real-world scenario that many travelers face.
On the Voyager 205, the top of the unit is occupied by the sliding plug mechanism, which left the front face as the best spot for the three main USB-C ports.
However, your feedback is brilliant. For future products, we will absolutely explore different layouts to better address the exact pain point you’ve described. We really appreciate insights like this—it’s how we get better!

    • Hi, I just backed this and have a question:
Can you confirm that this device supports PD with Programmable Power Supply (PPS)—necessary for Samsung’s Super Fast Charging at 45W.

I’ve previously read that PPS should be included in the PD 3.1 standard, but I’ve received products in the past that claimed PD 3.1, but then it didn’t support PPS (and thus didn’t charge my phone at it’s maximum rate).

That’s an excellent and well-informed question. You’re spot on.
You’ve identified the exact “loophole” in the PD 3.1 spec—PPS remains an optional protocol. Many brands chase the high wattage number and leave PPS out.
Rest assured, we engineered the Voyager 205 for full PPS compliance. It will deliver the 45W your Samsung phone requires without issue. Thanks for asking!

    • Hi. This looks like a great device, however the English sockets you show on your promotion are missing the On/ Off rocker switch that all power points in UK have, all previous travel chargers I’ve bought are so large they turn off the power switch when pushed all the way into the power point. Have you tested whether this does the same? This issue really needs fixing as it’s a major problem.

That is an incredibly insightful and important question—thank you for bringing it up. You’ve highlighted a known challenge for many travel adapters in the UK.
To be completely transparent, we designed the Voyager 205 to be as compact as possible to minimize this issue. Its specs are 100mm x 55mm x 56mm.
This compact, rectangular shape makes it compatible with the vast majority of UK sockets without interfering with the rocker switch. However, depending on the specific design and placement of the wall socket, we acknowledge that the issue you described could still potentially occur in rare cases.
We truly appreciate you asking, as it allows us to set clear expectations for fellow backers.

Thanks so much for following up and for your sharp eye!
While we can’t speak to every individual comment online, we can confirm our official process: the only units that have been sent out are pre-production samples to a select group of media and KOL partners for their early review.
The Voyager 205 has absolutely not been released to the public market, and our Indiegogo backers will be among the very first to receive the final product. We really appreciate your vigilance in helping us keep the community informed!

It sure does! For China, you just slide out the Australian plug and twist the pins so they are straight. That’s the Type A plug used there, and it works for the US and Japan too. It’s that easy
