Method of installing and supporting a fabric form, and a bracket therefor
The Fast-Tube® is a fabric form for concrete columns. In order to align the form accurately, Fab-Form has invented a specialized connector (“KLiP”) which clips onto the base of the tube and aligns the fabric base to an adjacent 2 x 4.
The connector includes a first elongate member that attaches to the fabric form and a second elongate member that extends outward to connect to a base or formwork, providing stability. This connector can adopt multiple configurations, including a planar or L-shaped form for versatile application. Some configurations allow the connector to snap-fit or clamp onto the fabric, offering flexibility in installation. The formwork assembly includes various connectors to enhance structural support, while the installation methods ensure secure alignment and attachment to foundations or temporary supports.
Form support and length-adjustable assembly
Constructing footings that are dead level is of critical importance to every building around the globe. This invention provides an improved form support with a length-adjustable assembly designed for versatility and precision. The key components and features include:
- Length-Adjustable Assembly: Comprising a pair of telescoping members, a removable end member, and a rotatable male threaded member, this assembly allows for precise length adjustments while inhibiting unwanted axial movement.
- Form Support: The form support utilizes the length-adjustable assembly to adjust the position of upper and lower telescoping members. It features various configurations, such as mounts, L-shaped brackets, and baseplates with multiple apertures.
- Multiple Configurations: The invention is designed to accommodate different configurations, allowing for diverse applications. It includes all possible combinations of the described features, whether mentioned separately or together.
SPACE-R™
Every concrete column requires reinforcing for greater strength. The vertical reinforcing bars must be held in the correct position and adequate concrete cover must be place over the reinforcing.
This invention holds the vertical reinforcing bars in the correct position while at the same time providing adequate concrete cover over the reinforcing. The invention also provides adequate shear and tensile strength to the concrete.
The formwork assembly includes a plurality of receptacles circumferentially spaced-apart about, coupled to and radially inwardly-extending from the hoop reinforcement so as to promote a desired positioning or spacing of the reinforcing bars.
