The Western Foreland Exploration Project encompasses an extensive area to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex. Ivanhoe geoscientists have identified striking geological similarities to the Kamoa and Kakula copper discoveries across the Western Forelands area, which currently hosts the Makoko, Makoko West, Kiala and Kitoko copper discoveries. Ivanhoe has committed US$50 million to its 2025 exploration activities in the Western Forelands, demonstrating a strong commitment to unlocking the region's full copper prospective.

The historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver-lead mine in the DRC returned to production in June 2024. Kipushi Mine will be one of the world’s leading producers of high-grade, low-emissions zinc and associated metals. Kipushi's 2025 production guidance is set between 180,000 and 240,000 tonnes of zinc in concentrate.

The Platreef Project in South Africa is the world's largest undeveloped precious metals project, which also contains significant nickel and copper, and continues to have expansive untapped exploration potential. Platreef is expected to become the world's highest-margin, lowest-cost platinum-group metals and nickel complex.
