$LA is pleased to announce that it has expanded its land package by obtaining first-priority exploration claims over new areas within and adjacent to the current property boundaries for the Vizcachitas #copper project in Chile. The claims cover an 18km2 block within the current property boundary, covering the higher ground bordering the deposit to the southeast, and another 7km2 block adjacent to the north-east corner of the property boundary. ➡️https://ow.ly/LvVG50VtMQQ

🔋 Benchmark Mineral Intelligence estimates that, in order to meet global #battery demand by 2030, an additional 61 #copper mines and 3.7Mt of copper supply are required - the greatest of any metal. $LA's Vizcachitas project, one of the largest undeveloped copper projects in Latin America, is set to help meet future burgeoning demand and support the ongoing energy transition. https://ow.ly/zGp950Vt0fb

A recent study of Microsoft's new data centre facility in Chicago found it uses a massive 2,177 tonnes of copper. BHP estimates that the amount of copper used in data centres across the globe will increase six-fold by 2050, an uplift equivalent to the combined annual output of the world's four largest #copper mines. The rise of AI is driving the need for more data centres, which act as the "computational muscle" behind complex models that require ultra-fast processing. In order to meet this demand, large-scale investment in significant undeveloped mines, such as the #Vizcachitas project, is required. #LA

#DidYouKnow that renewable energy systems use up to six times more #copper than fossil fuel systems? As fossil fuels are phased out and replaced by renewables, more importance will be placed on large undeveloped copper deposits like #Vizcachitas. #LosAndesCopper

#Copper plays a key role across society. It is used in manufacturing, technology and infrastructure, as well as in fertilisers to increase food production. Its antimicrobial properties also mean it is used in medical applications. See what just one tonne of the metal can be used for #LosAndesCopper (source: International Copper Association) ⤵

Research from BHP reveals the decline in major #copper discoveries in recent years, with $250 billion in investment needed in the next decade. This trend highlights the importance of undeveloped deposits like #Vizcachitas for securing the critical minerals needed for the future. https://ow.ly/kzuh50VhYor

#LosAndesCopper Chairman, Eduardo Covarrubias, attended Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention in Toronto last week, where he held positive talks with brokers and investors, discussing the value of the #Vizcachitas project, one of the few advanced stage Tier 1 copper assets in a proven mining jurisdiction.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay from the #LosAndesCopper team! We would like to mark the occasion by celebrating all of our talented and dedicated female employees, and by reflecting on the success of the ‘Entrepreneurs of Putaendo’ programme, which supports innovative local female entrepreneurs.

For the past two years, #LosAndesCopper has supported local female entrepreneurs in Chile through its ‘Entrepreneurs of Putaendo’ programme, which is designed to improve opportunities and grow the local economy. In 2024, 41 women, whose innovative projects stood out, were selected as winners, with each receiving training in key areas to help grow their businesses sustainably, as well as a grant of 800,000 Chilean pesos to strengthen their early-stage ventures. A ceremony was held at the end of last month to celebrate the entrepreneurs and mark the successful conclusion of the second iteration of the programme. Congratulations to all who took part!
