Serving Our Community

Community service is part of our culture at The Hemp Doctor. Our family is always looking for ways to give back, from donating to local charities and non-profits to raising awareness, and supporting organizations that promote scientific research, health, and wellness in the community. Below are a few of our initiatives.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

In March of 2021, we heard the most beautiful word – remission. Robert, the owner of The Hemp Doctor, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer in 2020. It was the most difficult news, and it’s been a very rough path. We are so appreciative of all the support we had from family, friends, the medical community, and customers. We donated to our local Leukemia & Lymphoma Society chapter to show our gratitude.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

One in every 100 deaths worldwide is the result of suicide. It can affect every one of us. Each and every suicide is devastating and has a profound impact on those around them. However, by raising awareness, reducing the stigma around suicide, and encouraging well-informed action, we can reduce instances of suicide around the world.

September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day, an opportunity to raise awareness of suicide and promote action through proven means that will reduce the number of suicides and suicide attempts globally. The Hemp Doctor donated 10% of the day’s sales revenue to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Lake Norman Humane

It’s no secret that our family loves pets. We have rescued multiple dogs, cats, and even exotic animals. Did you know we have a chinchilla?

The holidays are a tough time for our furry friends. Did you know that shelter homes get flooded with more abandoned pets around the winter holidays? We learned that many people will return their pets after Christmas or abandon old ones so they can buy a young puppy instead. It’s heartbreaking. Our pets are our family, and family always stays together no matter what.

In December 2021, The Hemp Doctor visited Lake Norman Humane and donated pet CBD products. On the 16th of the month, we donated 100% of our in-store sales and 10% of our online sales to Lake Norman Humane.
