I have been designing books for 48 years with nearly 3,000 books to my credit. This is my first book as an author.

I live in a golf community in central Florida with my wife, Lynn. When I am not designing books or writing, I spend my time playing golf, gardening, brewing, target shooting, creating things, playing guitar, shooting pool, and just about anything else there is to do.

I am a US Army veteran.

Most of all, I enjoy driving. I am a Formula 1 and IndyCar fan. Four of my favorite cars were two Porsche 911s (’72 and ’76), a ’73 BMW Bavaria, and a 2009 Mini Cooper S. Occasionally, I will race go-karts at nearby tracks.

    John Reinhardt makes it easy to spend an hour or so brushing up on your driving skills with this concise, up-beat little book. I was reminded of how easy it is to slide into sloppy (and dangerous) driving habits. A little mindfulness can go a long way towards improving your driving skills. Most people will quickly recognize which areas need work or attention - the list makes it easy to do a self-check.

    Rienhardt takes just the right tone in the book - straight-forward yet with a light, humorous touch. The only thing I would have liked is more funny illustrations - like the great cover!
